About Me

As a therapist, I am motivated by a belief in each individual’s potential to grow from their life challenges and become empowered to access personal strengths and existing resources.

I approach therapy as a collaborative relationship between the client, who is regarded as the expert on his/her or their life, and the therapist, who becomes a trusted ally in developing understanding and creating change.

I offer mobile therapy anywhere in San Diego county. Because being comfortable in your own environment can sometimes be a huge benefit when it comes to developing a healthy therapeutic relationship I will sometimes be open to meeting outside of the office. These places may include your home, a local park, beach, coffee shop or the like depending on safety, preference and comfortability.

I am passionate about working with young adults, military veterans, couples, and LGBTQIA individuals to help improve connection through healthy communication, increased intimacy and insight as well as lifestyle.  My prices are fair and affordable because everyone should be able to afford to get the help they need.

In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors.  I love camping, hiking, and going to the beach.  I love arts of all forms and welcome creative expression in the therapy process.  Lastly, I've always been interested in traveling and learning about cultures of other countries and their unique ways of life.

My Experience

My clinical experience includes 9 years of direct practice working with clients to address issues of anxiety, depression, identity, trauma, relationship conflict, and grief and loss. In therapy, I use a solution-focused approach to help clients clarify limiting perspectives, develop meaningful goals, and explore new ways to cope with barriers.

Additionally, I have specialized training in EMDR therapy and mindfulness-based therapies that support clients in creative problem solving, stress reduction, and mind/body integration. Therapy services are available for individuals, and couples.

I am a former active duty United States Marine.

I am a member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (CAMFT) and can be found on Psychology Today, EMDR Humanitarian, and the EMDR Institute.
